CIPS Chartered Status

09 July 2018      Emma Keenan, Procurement Specialist

Demonstrating commitment to your profession is now easier thanks to a change in the way those with current MCIPS or FCIPS membership can achieve Chartered status. After listening to its members’ feedback about the need for CIPS to provide more credibility and recognition for those dedicated to Continuing Professional Development, CIPS have introduced the opportunity to achieve Chartered Professional status for those who meet specific application requirements. Those are:

  1. You must have current MCIPS or FCIPS membership status
  2. You must have up-to-date skills and knowledge of current practices and methods and can evidence this through 30 hours of recorded CPD in the previous 12 months.  This can be easily logged in MyCIPS in the website.
  3. You must have an up-to-date CIPS Ethical Procurement and Supply Certificate.

If you have all of the above, you can apply for CIPS Chartered status online and you will receive a certificate confirming your achievement. You can see all the information on the CIPS website.
