In response to the implementation of the Modern Slavery act, I am pleased to share with you two documents, written specifically for HEPA, by Weightmans LLP. The first document addresses the practicalities of the act, confirms that the act does apply to the sector, states what is required by whom and by when as well as what will happen if you do not comply. The second document lists questions you may wish to ask yourself and your suppliers in the course of your work.
I have requested that Weightmans, in the next few weeks, provide an example statement you may wish to use (or adapt to use) in your institution. I will publish this as soon as it is available.
