BUFDG Fraud Survey 2025

The 2025 BUFDG Fraud Survey, conducted by the Counter Fraud Working Group, offers fresh insights into how UK universities are tackling fraud risk. With responses from 108 institutions—around 60% of BUFDG members—the survey provides a valuable snapshot of sector-wide preparedness and emerging challenges.
Key Highlights from the report include growing awareness, an evolving risk landscape (including cyber and IT-enabled fraud) and an international focus.
