The Cabinet Office have released an update on the progress of the Transforming Public Procurement programme which you can read below. The update covers the Bill progress, a handy summary document and a useful webinar recording. The update includes the following:
The Procurement Bill has now passed its second reading in the House of Lords and will begin Committee Stage on 4th July. You can check the latest on the passage of the Bill, including the current list of amendments tabled, on the Parliamentary website.
We have also added a short summary document outlining the main provisions of the Procurement Bill on our dedicated webpage.
Following the Introduction of the Procurement Bill on 11th May we arranged a series of webinars to provide greater detail and information for stakeholders on our proposed reforms. The sessions proved to be incredibly popular - in total we welcomed over 2,800 people dialling in from countries all around the world including Spain, New Zealand and Brazil. For those of you who weren’t able to attend, or would like to hear the webinar again, we have placed a recording of one of the sessions on our webpage. At each of the webinars, we received a great many questions and are now in the process of collating and providing answers which we will publish online in due course.
