Procurement Value Survey (PVS) – now open for submissions!

02 December 2019      Ashley Shelbrooke, HEPA and Project Specialist

The Procurement Value Survey (PVS) is open and ready to accept your submissions for the 2018/19 financial year.

The PVS gathers institutional and sector-wide efficiency data from procurement teams in England, and – for the first time – a pilot group of teams in Wales.  PVS data is gathered in line with the Higher Education sector benefits methodology.

A webinar was hosted by Larissa Morrish, Head of Procurement, Lancaster University, on 26 November 2019 which took delegates through the PVS and benefits methodology, and included a number of questions and answers throughout.  The webinar was recorded for colleagues who were unable to attend and is available to view on the HEPA Efficiency web page.

A help page is also available to assist teams in compiling their PVS submission.

The PVS is an authoritative tool for the sector to demonstrate the value of procurement, and provides a powerful anonymised benchmark for respondents… what could you do with £316m?

The PVS can be accessed through this link, and closed on 31 January 2020.  Following several requests, the deadline for PVS submissions has been extended until  Friday 14 February 2020. If you are responsible for submitting the PVS on behalf of your institution and do not have access to the survey via the link, then please contact Ashley who will enable this for you.
