There is now a wealth of information to help those responsible for procurement to benchmark more effectively.
The recent PVS report details the results of the procurement value survey and enables teams to see where their scores fit in compared to other institutions of a similar size.
The report from the 2018 heads of procurement survey provides information around job roles, team size, qualifications, structure and training needs enabling you to recognise where you are similar or different to others.
Finally, Procurement Shared Service have now launched the PMA+. Whilst there is a fee attached, this excellent, independent and detailed assessment of your procurement function will provide you with a bespoke action plan for improvement, a baseline to measure improvements, as well as benchmark scores against similar institutions.
