Time to Talk: Brexit and Procurement

18 September 2020      Ashley Shelbrooke, HEPA and Project Specialist

After a short break over the summer holiday period, we are very pleased to announce a new set of time to talk webinars.

HEPA are delighted to invite David Hansom, Partner, Clyde & Co. to a time to talk on the hot-topic of Brexit from a procurement point of view on 21 October at 10AM.  Making sense of Brexit: where are we now for the higher education sector?

The session will cover:

  • Update on the current negotiations, state of play and direction of travel.
  • What happens, when, in a 'no deal' outcome? What are the impacts on EU funding, state aid regulation, current projects, procurements activity and student recruitment?
  • What to do now. Many institutions have already undertaken Brexit resilience work to examine their supply chains and put contingencies in place. What are the other practical solutions to the uncertainty?
  • Questions and answers.

You can view the full overview of the time to talk and book your place here.  As always, there is no charge for a place and there is no limit on attendance, so please do feel free to share this event with colleagues within your institution who you feel may also benefit.

You can read David’s guest article for HEPA covering Brexit and universities: how will any new procurement and state aid regimes affect the sector here.
