Tuesday 31st January 2023
Time: 10 - 11am - via Teams
Across Europe both power and gas systems have stood up to the first periods of stress placed upon it. From an unseasonably warm start in October and November, through to a sustained cold snap in early December across much of Europe, what have we learnt from the first three months of this winter’s Energy trading? Whilst some point to the relatively healthy gas storage levels, returning French Nuclear plants and the absence of intervention from System Operators, many others warn about becoming complacent with the higher demand periods of January and February yet to deliver.
On the 31st January at 10:00hrs, The Energy Consortium (TEC) will be taking a look back at the first half of this winter and more importantly will be considering how this winter will likely be shaping next year’s Energy budgets. This is another opportunity for the PHES community to get together to find out more about the current state of the Energy market and to ask questions of the TEC team.
The webinar is free as usual, and open to all institutions (not just TEC members).
This event will be recorded, and the recording will be uploaded to our website after the event (usually within a week). Please check the Webinars page to find the recording.
